Introducing our new Associate Principal

We are pleased to announce that Mrs. Melanie Buckley has joined our team in the role of Associate Principal for the 2019-2020 school year. Please read her introductory message below and we look forward to her expertise joining our team as we begin our new year!

I am looking forward to working at Eleanor Hall School as your Associate Principal.  The majority of my many years of experience was with the CBE (8 years)  and EIPS (9 years) working in student services and as a secondary counsellor.  For the past two years I have been the Principal of Oak Hill School where boys are placed when they’re experiencing some struggles in their life.   I look forward to being back in an inclusive setting and taking part in the abundance of school activities offered at Eleanor Hall.  I am a native Edmontonian who graduated with a Bachelor of Education Degree from U of A.    I also obtained my Masters of Science In Special Education from Fort Hays State University in 2016.

I am a proud wife of Stu Buckley, and mother of Kailyn and Claire, ages 15 and 13, and two dogs, Benson the Beagle, and Scrappy, a Cairn Terrier mix.  When I am not at work, you can often find me driving my daughters around to their various activities.   I also  enjoy a good cup of coffee, running, walking my dogs, reading a good book, and drinking a cold one on the patio.   I can’t wait to get to know everyone and be part of your team.  It’s going to be a fantastic year!
