Our School
Eleanor Hall is a community school in the village of Clyde, Alberta. The current building was opened in January 2008 replacing the previous Eleanor Hall School building. Our namesake, Eleanor Hall, was a dedicated teacher and community member who taught in the original Clyde School building and continued teaching for many, many years. We are home to approximately 200 students ranging in grades from Kindergarten to Grade 9. Our current school also houses the C-PREP (Clyde Preschool Readiness Education Program) for children ages 3-4. Our school is home of the Clyde Dragons athletic teams and is surrounded by a vibrant parent community and active school council.
We are exceptionally proud of our school staff who provide compassionate and understanding classroom communities valuing inclusive education and enthusiastically strive to meet the needs of all learners. Our school staff understand that education is more than curriculum but rather developing and supporting students’ social emotional needs and, through curriculum, educating the “whole child”. We are very fortunate to collaborate with school support teams including behaviour and academic specialists, Speech Language Pathologists and Occupational Therapists. It takes a village to raise a child and we fully believe it takes a team and a community to support a child’s social emotional needs and academic journey.
